Using the Changi forecast

This page keeps the current hour and today’s best connected block together, so you can compare “go now” with “go later” without mixing two calculations. The activity estimate is produced from the same transparent model as BiteLah’s dashboard. The trip-condition label uses wind, rain and available wave information separately. Neither value measures fish at your hook.

Why the exact position still matters

Changi covers varied coastal exposure. A location facing open water can respond differently from a sheltered corner, even when both use the same forecast grid. Passing weather, vessel movement, structure and current around a particular edge can alter the water you see. Use this page for the broad pattern, then make the final judgement at your chosen area.

Look for a usable sequence

A single high hour is less useful than a practical sequence that gives you enough time to set up and fish. BiteLah groups nearby strong hours into a best block. If wind or rain makes that block uncomfortable, a slightly lower but calmer period may be the better trip choice. The hourly cards make that trade-off visible.

Planning limit: the marine tide curve is modelled on a broad grid. It is not the official tide table, a navigation product or a local current measurement.

A simple Changi checklist

  • Read activity and trip conditions as two separate answers.
  • Check whether your exact position is exposed to the forecast wind.
  • Confirm official weather information before travelling.
  • Observe current, debris and surface behaviour before casting.
