What stays on your device
Saved spots, your last selected location, theme choice and accessibility preferences are stored in your browser on your own device. Saved-water comparisons run in the browser, and calendar export creates a local file for your chosen calendar app. BiteLah does not upload those settings or calendar events to a BiteLah account. You can remove stored preferences by clearing this site’s browser data.
Offline app cache
If you install or revisit BiteLah, its service worker may cache BiteLah pages, styles, scripts, the manifest and app icon so the interface can open offline. It does not permanently cache third-party weather API responses.
Forecast providers
To load forecast data, BiteLah requests weather and marine information from Open-Meteo and supplementary Singapore short-range weather information from data.gov.sg. Those providers may receive normal connection information such as your IP address and the coordinates of the predefined forecast area you selected. BiteLah does not request your device’s precise location.
Tracking and ads
This version does not include advertising trackers, analytics trackers, user accounts, cookies for sign-in, payments or email capture.
No public model feedback
BiteLah does not ask visitors to submit catches, ratings, trip outcomes or private fishing locations. The conditions model runs from provider forecast data and the predefined water selected in the browser.
Security and sensitive information
Do not store sensitive personal information in BiteLah. Saved spots are selections from BiteLah’s predefined public water list, not private coordinates or account records.
If this changes
If BiteLah later adds accounts, analytics, paid features or community features, this privacy note should be updated before launch.
